The International Women’s Forum (IWF) is a global organisation of prominent women that furthers dynamic leadership and aims with its forums throughout the world to facilitate networking among women of achievement and promotes opportunities for women in leadership roles. The IWF Jordanian chapter was founded in October 2003 as a private independent association of women who have achieved valuable accomplishments in public life, private sector and civic society, and is registered as a non-profit entity at the Ministry of Interior.

In recognition of the efforts of the previous IWF-Jordan board of directors and in good reception of the newly elected board, Ms Doha Abdelkhaleq, on behalf of ESKADENIA Software, held a reception dinner for the IWF members and friends, as a thank you gesture for the efforts of the 3rd IWF board and in welcome of the new board of directors and in support of the new chairwoman Ms Reem Badran.

“IWF is about the trust and fellowship of the distinguished colleagues and business women, the fellow women leaders in Jordan as well as from abroad. This is a collection of the finest and most influential ladies within the country’s private and public sectors; ladies who bring prosperity, create jobs and exchange good deeds”, said Doha Abdelkhaleq, Executive Director at ESKADENIA Software.

She added, “This is the only Woman forum that I am aware of in Jordan that is being chaired by her majesty queen Rania Al Abdullah and this is an honour for all of us. In  that sense I believe that this gives us  a motivation and a sense of a higher purpose than what it is to merely socialize and gather; rather to personally step and genuinely serve the country’s first lady and the one woman that we all admire very much and to support the amazing initiatives that she is leading.  And as we have our international guest friends of the forum, the Madame Ambassadors from the friendly countries to Jordan, we send the clear message to your countries that we signed for gender equality and for peace and that we have a vision united around a prosperous Jordan where men and women play a key role in building the new economy and  where your good countries have played a role in advancing Jordan’s economy in so many ways of co-operation and we thank all women ambassadors for their  friendship and for extending the support to Jordan. And I want to welcome the new Chairwoman Mrs Reem Badran as she is preparing for the elections of the lower house of parliament and we wish her all luck with this endeavour.

On behalf of the International Women Forum-Jordan, new chairwoman Ms Reem Badran said “the International Women Forum has become a hub of women leaders from all around the world; the Jordanian experience has proven more and more that this country is distinguished by its citizen, be it a man or a women, leaders of all genders on all podiums and in different forums. The vision of the International Women Forum in Jordan is renewed with each new board of directors who take the responsibility of continuing what their colleagues have started and of drawing new goals for the promising new generation of women leaders to follow.
