Reuters reports of a police operation launched by Turkey to track down 33 former staff of a national scientific research agency who they claim were involved in last year's attempted coup.
Turkish state run news agency anadolu agency claims suspects allegedly used an encrypted messaging app by the name of ‘ByLock’ which the Turkish government say was used by Fethullah Gulen during the coup in 2016.

50,000 have been detained altogether for alleged links to Gulen and 500 are currently standing trial in the country. Among those arrested include journalists, human rights defenders and opposition government officials.
