Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has launched a charity collection drive across Dubai and the Northern Emirates as part of the group's CSR initiatives during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Held in partnership with The Red Crescent Authority (RCA), a leading charity organization in the UAE, donation boxes have been placed in all of ENOC/EPPCO service stations in Dubai, and the Northern Emirates. ENOC's charity drive aims to support the Red Crescent's campaign that seeks to collect 100 million dirhams to help the needy across the Arab and Muslim world.

Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC's Group Chief Executive, said that ENOC shares Red Crescent's vision in supporting the underprivileged. "Ramadan is about giving and sharing, and at ENOC we aim to honour the ideals of the Holy Month by giving as much as we can to the community. The money raised from the charity drive will go to providing food during Iftar (Iftar Sa'em), Eid clothes and sponsoring orphans."

"Last year's campaign raised a large sum of money and we hope this charity drive receives a similar response," he added.

The charity collection drive is one of a series of community initiatives launched by ENOC during Ramadan to reach out and raise funds for the less fortunate. EMGAS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ENOC, with the help of Beit Al Khair Society will provide 300 underprivileged families from Dubai & Northern Emirates with free LPG refill throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.
