In keeping with its commitment to give back to the community, ENOC Lubricants, a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), has teamed up with the Arabian Automobiles Co., the flagship company of AW Rostamani Group and exclusive distributor of Nissan, Infiniti and Renault in UAE, to organise the second edition of “Xplore UAE” off-road driving event.
With participation of more than 500 4x4 owners, all proceeds collected from the event, held recently, were donated to the Rashid Pediatric Centre, a humanitarian organisation which provides quality education and therapy services to children with special needs. The two companies raised AED 85,000 in donations, and a cheque was given to Rashid Pediatric Centre by Zaid Alqufaidi, Chief Executive Officer, Retail Business Stream, ENOC; and Michel Ayat, Chief Executive Officer of AW Rostamani Group.
“Xplore UAE is of great significance as participants can help the community by being part of a fun adventure. We are delighted to join hands with Arabian Automobiles Co. in organising this initiative which comes as part of our social responsibility activities and endeavours to help integrate special children into society. We hope that the amount raised can help special needs and less fortunate individuals to be prepared for their future, by enhancing their independence, developing their contribution to society, and ensuring they have full participation in all aspects of life,” Alqufaidi said.
Ayat said: “Our long-standing relationship with ENOC is recognised through this event with both companies committed to supporting sections of the society who are needy and less fortunate. Xplore UAE is a natural outcome of our corporate principle to serve society and partner with a well-established corporate citizen like ENOC.”
The charity collection drive is one of a series of community initiatives supported by ENOC to reach out and raise funds for the less fortunate individuals across the UAE.
