Egyptian Prime Minister Praises Sheikh Zayed’s Stance on Arab Issues

Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Atef Obeid said in Abu Dhabi on Monday that he would deliver a letter to UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, according to WAM. 

 

In a statement made shortly upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi, Obeid said, “My visit to the UAE comes as part of the regular consultation between President Mubarak and H.H President Sheikh Zayed on various issues”.  

 

In addition, he said that President Mubarak is due to visit the United States within the coming few days, hence his eagerness to consult with Sheikh Zayed on crucial issues regarding the region.  

 

Furthermore, Obeid hailed Sheikh Zayed’s position on various Arab causes. “It is in appreciation of this stance that President Mubarak is keen to exchange views with Sheikh Zayed, ahead of his meetings with the US Administration”, said Obeid.  

 

Commenting on the UAE-Egyptian relations, Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated that the two countries had enjoyed very close fraternal relations. He said the visit of Prime Minister Obeid would further enrich coordination between the two countries on crucial Arab issues, especially the Palestinian problem. (Albawaba.com)
