Egypt’s Minister of Information Safwat Sharif has decided to refer his first undersecretary, Ali Galal, to administrative investigation on charges of misuse of office.
According to press reports, Galal has set up a private art and media production company which he registered in the names of his son and wife.
The top official is accused of using his authority to refer bids to his family business, King Tut for Art and Media Production to serve as an executive producer of projects launched by the public sector.
