EC supports democracy in Jordan

The European Commission (EC) approved its 2005 National Financing Plan for Jordan worth euro 58 million of grants. This assistance will contribute to the development of democracy, human rights and good governance in Jordan, assist the Government of Jordan in implementing its policies with the European Union, and facilitate reform needed to boost private sector development, investment and trade. The 2005 National Financing Plan contains three actions that respond to the priorities for EU cooperation with Jordan as agreed in the EU-Jordan National Indicative Program for 2005-2006 and support the implementation of the Jordan-EU Action Plan within the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy.
