The Duke of York arrived in Casablanca Monday on a three-day official visit to Morocco during which he will hold talks with top Moroccan officials, leading members of the business community and British companies established in the North African country.
The visit coincides with a UK trade mission in Morocco, organized by the South East of England Exporters Association (SEEA), according to the official MAP news agency.
It also comes in the framework of ongoing efforts to boost the growing political and economic partnership between London and Rabat.
The visit by the Duke of York, who is the second son and third child of the Queen, follows last February's visit to Morocco of Mike O'Brien, Foreign and commonwealth Office Trade Minister.
The Duke of York has taken up in 2001 a new role as Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, working in support of UK Trade and Investment, the government body which supports UK companies trading internationally and which encourages foreign investment. (Albawaba.com)
