Dubai Customs organizes a workshop on “Time Expander”


Mr. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Director General of Dubai Customs sponsored a workshop on “Time Expander and Skills Development” held Thursday 9th April 2009 as part of the continuous development programs being adopted by Dubai Customs to achieve best results and the organizational strategic objectives.


The workshop was held at Dubai Customs main building in the presence of the Director General, Executive Directors and departments’ managers highlighting a number of issues including but not limited to; maintaining sustainable development achievements, time expanding, how to benefit from methodologies and techniques for implementing best practices and sound planning and organization for objectives management and optimal utilization of resources.

                                              
 “Dubai Customs takes a great interest in the issue of developing and promoting job skills and capabilities of different customs manpower in line with achieving its vision and strategic objectives as to mainly support Dubai’s economic and social development and improving internal and external customers’ satisfaction level. We are keen to implement best techniques for regulating business and management priorities based on continuous planning programs”, Mr. Butti said.


“The past period experienced achievement of good results in the area of management reform and modernization including customer services delivery standards that rely upon latest technological programs.  Such results could have not been achieved unless the efforts made by customs people and the organization’s keenness to continuously develop their skills and providing the necessary training programs,” he added.
