Dubai Courts participates in Employers’ Day 2009

Move in line with Strategic Plan 2009-2011's aim to have UAE national graduates assume up to 95 per cent of Dubai Courts' entry-level positions


Dubai Courts has announced that it will participate in Employers’ Day 2009, the third consecutive year that Dubai Courts has supported the annual activity, which will be held this year on June 2 at the Higher Colleges of Technology. Dubai Courts' participation will be spearheaded by its Human Resources Department as it aims to underscore the Courts’ commitment to support and cooperate with the different colleges; help in the development of the national workforce and promote women’s participation in different areas of courts work.

Dubai Courts will present its job vacancies as part of efforts to strengthen communication lines with UAE national graduates from various fields and disciplines who are poised to join the labour market. Specifically, Dubai Courts is focusing on attracting and recruiting women graduates of the Higher Colleges of Technology, while offering support to female students by providing advice regarding essential study material and resources that will help enhance their prospects of joining the courts department.

Furthermore, Dubai Courts’ participation is in line with its Strategic Plan 2009-2011, which aims to attract, invest and develop a motivated and highly efficient national human resource pool. In addition, Dubai Courts is keen to promote Emiratization as it is committed to enable UAE nationals assume up to 97 per cent of all leadership positions and 80 per cent of executive positions of Dubai Courts, while having UAE national graduates take up around 95 per cent of other job categories by end of 2011.

 


Abdulwahed Abdulla Hassan Galadari, Dubai Courts Human Resource Manager said: “This event is an ideal platform to promote our line of communication with national students and graduates and acquaint them with the available job opportunities in government, semi-government and private institutions. This activity will definitely contribute to the Emiratization program on a long-term basis."

"Through our participation, we are keen on attracting and developing a competent pool of human resources that will help us boost our corporate performance and maintain high-level standards of excellence. These efforts are in line with our aspirations to create a work environment that motivates excellence and creativity and enhances the independence and stability of the judicial system. Last year, we achieved remarkable success through our participation in this event as we received more than 100 applications from various educational levels. This year, we seek to maintain the same level of success and achieve one of our key objectives of facilitating women's participation in the judicial service,” added Galadari.

Dubai Courts has joined employers from different government, semi-government and private institutions in supporting the Employers’ Day event during the past two years, each time receiving over 100 applications. About 44 per cent of applicants were holders of an intermediate diploma, 31 per cent were students, 18 per cent were holders of higher diploma and seven per cent were holders of a bachelor's degree.
