ALBAWABA - Kuwaiti authorities said that a fire broke out at Mina Al-Ahmadi oil refinery on Friday following a drone attack, state media reported.

This comes amid announcements by authorities in several Gulf states that they were responding to attacks from Iran.

According to the Kuwait News Agency, which cited the national oil company, "several hostile drone attacks" struck the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, but no casualties were reported.

The Kuwaiti outlet added that firefighters were working to stop the fire while "several refinery units were shut down".

Iran launched attacks on Gulf energy infrastructure, targeting oil refineries and the world's biggest gas hub in Qatar, after Israeli strikes on Tehran's South Pars gas field.

Earlier today, Bahrain's interior ministry further mentioned that shrapnel from an "Iranian aggression" caused a fire at a warehouse, but the blaze was controlled by firefighters.
