Dr. Wejdan Abu-Elhaija awarded

Dr. Wejdan Abu-Elhaija, an assistant professor in the King Abdullah II School for Electrical Engineering department at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) was recognized with the Hisham Adeeb Hijjawi Applied Science Award in the Information Technology and Communication segment on her research, “Deriving the Signal-to-Noise Ratio Probability of Error and Performance Measure Matrices for Distribution Line Carrier Signals Propagation (Using Bus Impedance Approach).”


The Hisham Adeeb Hijjawi Award for Applied Science was organized by the Scientific Foundation of Hisham Adeeb Hijjawi, an institute dedicated to supporting the education of technical and applied sciences to enhance technology transfer and absorption, in order to develop a suitable industrial base for better human welfare.  The objective of the award is to contribute and develop the technical and applied sciences in Jordan.  Applicants must be achieving a practical solution to a problem that would aid the development of Jordan in the technical and applied science field.


Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya Bint El-Hassan, PSUT’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees also stated in addition, “Dr. Abu-Elhaija is a motivated member of our staff and her commitment and ambition has always been acknowledged on our campus and therefore it was time we extend our recognition nationally.  Furthermore, her work ethic and enthusiasm encourages our faculty and students to become motivated as she is a true reflection of her teaching.  Faculty members such as Dr. Abu-Elhaija allow PSUT to release motivated professionals into Jordan’s IT, Communication and Engineering industry.”
