DP world, UAE region continues to support Rashid Paediatric centre together with important supplier
The UAE Regional Office of DP World, the global port operator, together with Gottwald Port Technology, a leading supplier of harbour cranes and container handling equipment, has recently made a financial contribution to the Rashid Paediatric Centre in Dubai. The grant supports education and therapy for children with special needs.
Recently, a delegation made up of senior representatives from DP World, UAE Region and Gottwald Port Technology took a tour of the Centre’s facilities, where they observed care provided to special-needs children. At the conclusion of the tour, Ms. Maryam Othman, the Centre’s Director, accepted a cheque of AED 100,000/- on behalf of the Centre.
Established in 1994, Rashid Paediatric Centre offers a supportive environment in which children learn and develop skills that enable them to interact independently with each-other and society.
Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region, said:

Our aim is to provide these individuals with better opportunities, and prepare them to become active and productive members of the community.”
Maryam Othman, Director of Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre, appreciated the support extended by both entities, and said:
“Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre has been offering its services to hundreds of children of all nationalities since its establishment in 1994. We are grateful to DP World, UAE Region and Gottwald Port Technology for their generous donation and encouragement of our efforts.
