Delta Air Lines Starts First Nonstop Service between Kuwait and Atlanta, USA

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) is today announcing the start of its first nonstop flight from Kuwait International Airport to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Saturday, 8 November.  Delta will operate four weekly services between Kuwait and the United States offering over 180 onward connecting opportunities via Delta’s Atlanta hub. 

 “We are delighted to offer our customers from Kuwait the opportunity to fly nonstop to Atlanta, the commercial hub of the Southeastern United States” said Frank Jahangir, Delta’s vice president of sales – Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.  “From Atlanta, customers also have the benefit of Delta’s extensive connections domestically and to Latin America and the Caribbean.  The new flight will also offer opportunities for freight forwarders and cargo shippers”.

The Middle East region is a key component of Delta’s international network plans.   The Kuwait flight will strengthen Delta’s leadership position in the Middle East, complementing existing service from Dubai to Atlanta and service from Amman to New York JFK.

Passengers on Delta’s flights between Kuwait and Atlanta will travel on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.  Customers seated in Delta’s award-winning BusinessElite cabin enjoy all-leather sleeper seats with 152 cm of legroom, innovative food offerings designed by our celebrity, on-demand personal in-seat entertainment, as well as upgraded pillow, duvet cover and amenity kit.
