Gaza, May 18 (Petra) – The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported on Sunday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli airstrikes has reached 53,339, with 121,034 people injured since October 7, 2023.

Over the past 24 hours, 67 people were killed and 361 others injured, while since dawn Sunday, 96 fatalities and more than 140 injuries were recorded following continued Israeli strikes targeting civilians across the Strip.

The Ministry noted that many victims remain trapped under rubble or on the streets, with ambulance and civil defense teams unable to reach them due to ongoing hostilities.

Since the resumption of the offensive on March 18, 2025, the Ministry has documented 3,193 deaths and 8,993 injuries.
