Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos has called on the Greek American community to continue their efforts towards the reunification of Cyprus, based on the rule of law, CNA news agency reported.
"We must persist with tenacity and perseverance. Let us seek the help of the UN and the European Union, the support of our friends in the US to see how we can go forward," he told a distinguished audience of members of the Greek American community at a special dinner during which he bestowed on Archbishop of the Americas Demetrios and Alex Spanos, a successful businessman and philanthropist, the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III, the agency said.
