Customers see new homes near completion at Lake View

Final touches before residents move in

Luxury lifestyle provider DAMAC Properties Dubai is now nearing completion of its Lake View project at Jumeirah Lake Towers with customers starting to undertake inspections of their apartments.

Residents are expected to start moving in by December and are now being given the first look inside their completed new homes. The building is entirely sold out and comprises a range of studio, one and two bedroom apartments and a number of loft style apartments and stunning penthouses.

Lake View is the second of DAMAC Properties’ towers at JLT to be completed following the handover of 571 units at its nearby Lake Terrace development in May. Lake View offers residents a prime position at JLT with magnificent views of the community lakes, the Dubai Marina and the sea. The 40-storey tower also has a mixed retail offering and will also benefit from the retail provided by the Lakeside promenade when it is completed and is located within a short walk of the new metro train station.

Peter Riddoch, CEO of Damac Properties Dubai said the completion of Lake View was a significant achievement for the company in 2008 and a further step towards the company’s aim of continued progress and delivery in 2009.

“It is not just exciting for customers to come and see their completed apartments, - it is exciting for us a company too,’ he said.

‘We take these inspections very seriously and know that it is important to customers that everything is as close to perfect as possible when they move in. These inspections provide us with an opportunity to fulfill that wish for a customer and give them the best start possible in their new home.’

2008 has been the ‘Year of Construction’ at DAMAC Properties, during which its businesses have aggressively focused on construction and contract delivery to trusted and quality contractors.  An impressive AED2.5billion worth of contracts have been awarded in the first nine months of 2008.

From initial consultants through to enabling and main contractors, the company has awarded more than 60 contracts in the first nine months of the year – showing that it means business when it comes to delivery. So far approximately AED2.1billion worth of contracts have been awarded for projects in Dubai, AED45million for projects in Abu Dhabi and a total of AED320million by DAMAC International for projects in Qatar and Jordan.

In line with this, DAMAC Properties Dubai, is making good progress at its major developments in Dubai and has recently handed over 571 units at Lake Terrace in Jumeirah Lake Towers and with the promise of delivery of 192 units at the Executive Heights project at TECOM, 198 units in its Tera Del Sol developments in Discovery Gardens, 536 units at LakeView in Jumeirah Lake Towers and 847 units at The Crescent, located at IMPZ in Dubai, all before the end of 2008.

DAMAC Properties is expected to hand over approximately a further 7,100 units in 2009/10 across the GCC region.

Mr Riddoch added, “DAMAC Properties is finishing the year in a strong position – delivering on its promises and making sure that plans are well in place to continue in this vein in 2009.

‘We are so pleased to see our Lake View tower now almost completed and know that our customers are eagerly anticipating receiving the keys to their new apartments. We look forward to seeing the first residents move in by December.’
