The President of the Algerian Popular National Assembly, Amar Saadani announced over the weekend the creation of a Parliamentary Friendship society between Algeria and the United States.
The US Ambassador to Algeria, Richard Erdman used the opportunity to underline his country's support the Algerian reform process. He noted that the US will help to extend these reforms, especially in the field of economics, justice, education and female empowerment.
Another issue is Algeria's desire to join the World Trade Organization. This group will allow for increased cooperation to discuss and resolve issues of mutual concern.
