Hundreds of Palestinians battled Israeli security forces on Friday, as tensions continued unabated in Jerusalem and the West Bank, according to news reports.
Reuters reported that demonstrators at the Qalandia checkpoint threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at Israeli troops, who fired rubber bullets.
Other demonstrations took place in Hebron and Ramallah, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Hamas had called for a "day of rage" following clashes and provocations at the al-Aqsa compound.
Demonstrations against Israeli restrictions at al-Aqsa were also held in Amman, Jordan and Ankara, Turkey on Friday, according to news reports.
