ALBAWABA- Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, the Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations in Yemen, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt while returning to Marib. 

Military sources report that an explosive-laden car detonated near his convoy on the international highway east of Marib. 

The incident resulted in injuries to 7 individuals, including 3 soldiers. The targeted assassination attempt has heightened security concerns.
