Officials from French club OL (Olympique Lyonnais) have been continuing in their efforts to convince Moroccan-origin forward Marouane Chamakh to play for their club. The 21-year old, who is currently playing for Bordeaux, said," Lyon tried to convince me again but I don't want to have problems with my own club." Bladi Net reports that Chamakh's club is irritated by Lyon's insistence.
Chamakh was born in Tonneins in 1984 and has been at Girondins Bordeaux since he was a teenager. He was spotted by French coach Marius Tresor and started to play in French League 1. His goal scoring in League1 added to his growing reputation. Chamakh also became Moroccan National Team's key attacker and a precocious talent for his team, which hopes to qualify for the World Cup 2006.
