Chad is seeking to be a member of the Arab league, sources were quoted as saying by the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) Saturday.
But they said that the process requires intensive arrangements.
According to the sources, Chadian officials have stressed Arabism of the African country, adding that it enjoys good relation with all Arab countries.
In order to be a member of the Arab League, the sources added, Chad has to go through "long and relatively complicated procedures" before it gets the approval to be a member of the league.
Arabic is one of the official languages in Chad in addition to French. Muslims comprise fifty percent of its total population of nine million.
