Careertunity.com, an online medium for the trend setters of opting for e-recruitment, successfully launched the Job Arena, the 1st event of its kind in Dubai. This was a fresh initiative in this region that witnessed an approximate of 3000 jobseekers who were a good mix of fresh graduates and with experience ranging from 1-20 years. The Job Arena witnessed a good combination of professionals from various functional areas and nationalities. The Job Arena had participation of 10 companies, ABS CBN Middle East, Al Taif Technical Services, Bond Communications, Bhatia Brothers, DORMA Gulf Door Controls FZE, Dulsco HR Solutions, Haward Technologies Middle East, Jotun, Mashreq, and Times Square Centre. A plethora of functional specialties were offered to the candidates. To quote a few were vacancies in media, retail, sales & marketing, banking, IT, logistics, services, and education.
The venue was brimming with job seekers who were a mix of fresh graduates, MBA graduates and those with 2-20 years of experience. For the candidates, it was a great opportunity to meet Corporates, Most companies short listed candidates for further rounds. Haward Technologies rolled out approx 15 offer letters - 6 of which were accepted & closed on the spot. They are confident that all 30 positions would be closed by the candidates they met with at the Job Arena. the corporates were overwhelmed with the number and quality of candidates that turned up and they found this forum to be very well organized and showed interest to participate in such endeavors in future.
