Lawyers for London-based Saudi businessman Khalid al Fawwaz, who is alleged to have close links with the terrorist network headed by the notorious Osama Bin Laden, on Thursday failed in a High Court bid to block his extradition to the United States on terrorism charges.
Fawwaz, 36, currently held in a London jail, was arrested in Britain after a New York court charged him with being involved in a plot with Bin Laden to kill Americans abroad.
Bin Laden, a millionaire Islamic extremist of Saudi origin, is the suspected mastermind of the 1998 US embassy bombings in Africa that killed more than 220 people.
Fawwaz denies that his organization, the Advice and Reformation Committee, is an armed British-based group affiliated to Bin Laden – LONDON (AFP)
