ALBAWABA -  Five people have been reportedly injured after a bus crashed on the C-32 highway between Tordera and the coastal town of Pineda de Mar, Catalonia.

The Catalan Emergency Service (SEM) reports that three people were admitted to the hospital with critical injuries, one with serious injuries, and two others with less serious injuries.

They have been sent to Girona's Doctor Trueta, Badalona's Can Ruti, and Barcelona's Vall d'Hebron hospitals. 52 people, all workers at the massive Spanish retailer Inditex, were aboard the bus headed to the Tordera logistics center.

After several passengers became stuck inside the bus, all of the passengers and the driver were ultimately removed. Most of them were moved to Pineda de Mar's Can Xaubet sports facility.

According to La Vanguardia, emergency officials suspect one of the vehicle's tires blew out, forcing the driver to lose control and collide with the crash barrier. According to the report, it may have driven the car onto its back wheels, causing the front end to rear up and slam into the tunnel entrance's ceiling.
