British plane-spotters released from UAE detainment

The United Arab Emirates released Thursday three British plane-spotters arrested two months ago on national security concerns, reported AFP. 

 The British men, who took part in hobby in which people observe aircraft and record their registration numbers.  Conrad Clitheroe, Gary Cooper, and British UAE resident Neil Munro were arrested on charges of espionage while plane-spotting at Fujairah airport. 

“We can confirm the release of three British nationals detained in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates on 21st of February,” said a spokesperson for Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
