British official praises UAE trade ties

A senior British official has lauded his country's trade relations with the UAE and called for strengthening joint cooperation at all levels.

In a letter to Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Alan Johnson, British Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, said relations between the two countries had contributed in cementing bonds of friendship, <i>WAM</i> news agency reported.

The letter was in reply to a cable of congratulations Sheikh Sultan had sent to the British official following his appointment as Secretary of State for Trade and Industry.
