Five people including two police officers were injured in Turkey's southeastern province of Diyarbakir Tuesday when a car bomb detonated targeting a passing armored police vehicle, according to security sources.
The attack occurred near a state hospital in the district of Dicle, north of the region's largest city Diyarbakir.
Bombings targeting security forces have increased following the collapse of a two-year ceasefire between the Turkish state and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) last July.
The PKK took up arms to fight for Kurdish autonomy three decades ago.
