Mega-star David Bowie and his beautiful model wife Iman have announced the birth of their first baby and it’s a girl!
He’s an actor/singer/composer and she’s a supermodel and they’ve just had their first baby girl.
David Bowie, 53 and his wife Iman, 44 announced the birth of their first child together on Thursday.
Alexandria Zahra Jones, arrived at six minutes past 5 am and weighed 7 pounds, 4.6 ounces, reported ABConline.
The ecstatic Bowie assisted in the delivery, according to a statement by the actor’s spokesman.
According to ABC, the couple had planed this pregnancy for a long time.
In an interview with US Weekly, Iman had said, “I was trying for a year and a half, and then I gave up.”
“Then, just when I thought that I had waited too long, I got pregnant. It was a pleasant surprise," she added.
Bowie and Iman, who were married in 1992 after a two-year courtship. They both have children from previous relationships. Bowie has two sons from first wife, Angie. Iman’s daughter Zulekah is 22 years old.
Meanwhile, one of the Dixie Chicks is getting ready for a new arrival too.
According to ABConline, Natalie Maines, one-third of the multiplatinum country act, and her husband, actor Adrian Pasdar (Near Dark), announced Monday that they're expecting their first child in April 2001.
The two, who met at the wedding of fellow Chick Emily Robison, were married June 24. Kids were definitely on the agenda for the newlyweds. "Babies! That's the meaning of life," declared Maines in a March interview.
