A series of bomb attacks around the Baghdad area have killed 11 people and wounded several others, AFP reported Wednesday.
Authorities said the deadliest attack took place Wednesday night in the capital when an explosion went off in a cafe, killing six people and wounding 11 others.
Another blast near a restaurant went off earlier in the day, killing three. The third was a roadside bomb in Baghdad's western suburbs near where Sahwa fighters patrol. Two of the members were killed.
Sahwa fighters had joined forces with US troops during the Iraq war to fight Sunni militants.
AFP said medical officials confirmed the casualty figures.
