Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF), one of Bahrain’s and the region's, leading professional training Institute, is celebrating 25 years of existence. The Institute was established in 1981 mainly to provide essential training for the banking community in Bahrain at the time.
Commenting on the Institute's history, Mr. Khalil Nooruddin, BIBF Director, said, “BIBF took initiatives to develop as a leading educational body, mainly in the financial services industry, providing both vocational and professional training to an extremely competitive worldwide market.
"Such an aggressive environment demands innovation and flawless execution in the workplace in order to triumph over challenges.
"We believe that people are the most valuable asset of any business, and maintaining a high level of competence is the key to professional excellence and to achieving any given financial institution's aspirations. Since its inception, BIBF has provided performance improvement solutions to over 60,000 students."
Mr. Nooruddin went on to highlight the importance of on-going development in the financial sector saying, "It is imperative that we continue to carry out specialized studies and determine the required specializations for the sector- from financial analysts to risk and auditing managers."
Throughout the years, BIBF developed from a banking training center into a full fledged training and educational institution.  It offers services to all sectors of the economy with diversified programs that meet the needs of career development of individuals and organizations.
BIBF has delivered quality programs in countries around the globe including, for example, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Sudan, and it has provided instruction to participants from over 50 countries at the Institute.

BIBF enjoys strategic relationships with internationally recognized professional organizations such as:  Darden Graduate School of Business (University of Virginia), DePual University, Bentley College, University of Wales, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, US Securities and Exchange Commission, NASDAQ, University of Cambridge International Examinations, IFS, and Chartered Insurance Institute.
