BenQ, the global leader in digital lifestyle products, has unveiled its new generation projector range, targeting the Middle East burgeoning education sector, at Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) Dubai 2007.

BenQ is participating at the show through its distributor and leading audio visual solutions provider, AV Telco. The company will exhibit its entire range of innovative projection solutions.

“Educational institutions across the Middle East are increasingly introducing projectors into classrooms and our display solutions specifically address the needs of schools, colleges and universities, not only in terms of quality and cutting-edge design, but also cost-effectiveness.” said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, BenQ Middle East and Africa.

During the exhibition, BenQ is displaying its PB8253 & PB8263 projectors within the Stationery Series and an array of Main Stream models including MP770, MP721, MP721c, MP611, MP611c and MP510.  Also available are CP120 & CP220 in the wireless commuter series followed by its award-winning home theatre range including models W100 & PE7700.

“We are the second largest projector brand in the Middle East, with a 16 per cent market share and number two in UAE. At GETEX we are displaying our entire range of SVGA, XGA & Home Theatre projectors comprising Stationery, Main stream, Commuter and Home Theatre series,” said Robert Dung, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East and Africa.

In the pipeline are the high-brightness projectors SP830 & SP831 with HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) for perfect viewing in large auditoriums and conference rooms. The world’s highest contrast ratio projector W10000 with a contrast ration of 10,000: 1 is also set to hit the Mid East shelves soon.

In partnership with AV Telco, BenQ already boasts a long list of educational sector clients for its display solutions, including Sharjah University; Al Rafa School in Al Ain; Dubai’s Al Saedia, Al Aesha Dint Saad, Rashid School for Boys and Latifa Bint Hamdan schools; Kalba’s Al Forqan School and others in the northern emirates.

“The UAE’s educational sector contributes significantly to BenQ’s regional projector sales. Through our participation at GETEX and with AV Telco’s support, we are confident we will be able to assist the government in its effort to introduce latest technologies to benefit the country’s educational sector,” added Dung.

Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education, the 19th edition of GETEX is being held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) from 11th - 14th April 2007.

BenQ will be at GETEX Stand number 2301 in Hall two.
