Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company today announced the appointment of Mr. Jeremy Byatt, Director, Environmental Responsibility with immediate effect. Most recently, Jeremy Byatt was principal of ClearIdeas, a company he founded with the purpose of solving public affairs-related problems and building the organisational capacity of clients. He also brings with him experience from Friends of the Earth and the United Nations.
Welcoming his appointment, Mr. Samer Kamal, Managing Director of Bee’ah said: “As Bee’ah continues to expand, I am pleased to announce yet another pivotal position within our organisation has been filled by a highly talented and experienced individual. Jeremy’s primary responsibility will be to guide the strategic direction of Bee'ah and make high-level decisions concerning all the projects that Bee'ah is and will be involved in.”
Mr. Byatt is a vastly-experienced public affairs executive and general manager who has spent much time working in the private, public and non-governmental sectors. His extensive knowledge of environmental and energy issues has been gained while working and living in Canada and around the world.
Commenting on his appointment Mr. Byatt said, “Having previously worked for equally socially-conscious, renowned corporations, I have discovered what it takes to inspire change. I am very excited about implementing my skills with Bee’ah, a company that is taking enormous strides in providing education about environmental issues and providing people with the tools they need to make changes that positively affect us all.”
Mr. Byatt’s environmental expertise was aptly demonstrated during the recent Middle East Waste Summit, at which he presented at, and participated in, a panel discussion on Recycling and Landfills. He will also be speaking at the forthcoming Industrial & Hazardous Waste Management Conference, which takes place from 8 to 9 November in Dubai.
