The son of Bahrain’s tourism chief has been killed in a car crash in the US, reported the Gulf Daily.

Ibrahim Rajab, son of Tourism Affairs Assistant Under-Secretary, Kadhem Rajab, was killed when his car collided with another vehicle on a highway near Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Ibrahim was nearing the end of his studies at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and was due back in Bahrain this summer, said the paper.

“It is the second tragedy the family has to face in less than a year,” a family member said.

The official’s only brother, Sameer, was killed in the Gulf Air crash last August, along with his wife and two sons, he added – Albawaba.com
