Mel Gibson plays a pacifist turned reluctant warrior in this American Revolution story, loosely based on the life of Francis "The Swamp Fox" Marion. After experiencing the iron fist of a cold-blooded British officer (Jason Isaacs), Gibson joins his son in a bitter and personal battle for independence.
