Amman- Ayyam FM, in a joint partnership with Tkiyet Um Ali and C-Town, recently launched the "Food for Life" charity campaign during Eid al-Adha holiday.
In an effort to reach those in need, Ayyam FM produced an itemized ‘Shopping List’ brochure that was distributed to C-Town shoppers and promoted on air with the aim of encouraging Jordanians to purchase charity food packages for underprivileged families in the Kingdom.
The ‘Shopping List’ contained food products and necessary commodities recommended by Tkiyet Um Ali that charitable C Town customers purchased and donated to the "Food for Life" campaign by placing them in the carts at check out. Tkiyet Um Ali has distributed these donations to a number of needy families.
Through this campaign, Ayyam FM seeks not only to contribute to serving the underprivileged during the Eid but also to encourage its listeners to feel that they are members of a wider Jordanian community for whose wellbeing we are all responsible.
"The Ayyam FM team was very excited to launch the "Food for Life" and share the joy and celebration of Eid al-Adha with their brothers and sisters," said Hazem Khoury, Station Manager of Ayyam FM. "Such campaigns not only lend a helping hand to those living below the poverty line but also empower and give back to the local community. This is our first charitable campaign since we launched two months ago and everyone at Ayyam FM is already looking forward to implementing more ideas to proactively give back to our community."
Ayyam FM is the latest radio station in Jordan, broadcasting to Amman, Irbid, and Ma'an, and soon in Aqaba. Ayyam FM aims to entertain its listeners with shows that broach key issues of concern for Jordanians in a modern and pleasant approach.
