Austria foils 'terrorist attack' on Westbahnhof train station in Vienna

ALBAWABA - Vienna police and the Office for the Protection of the Constitution announced they prevented a "terrorist attack" at Vienna's Westbahnhof planned by a 14-year-old, Austrian news agency APA said on Wednesday. 

The Interior Ministry revealed that an investigation by the State Office for State Protection and Counterterrorism (LSE) and WEGA forces led to the arrest of the teenager on February 10.

Among other things, two knives and numerous materials were found in his possession when he was arrested confirming that he was planning an attack and proving the 14-year-old is a supporter of the Islamic State (ISIS).

The attack was planned to be at Westbahnhof train station, APA confirmed.
