Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat left Gaza City Saturday for the United Arab Emirates for talks with President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan, officials in Gaza said.
Arafat is expected to discuss difficulties faced by Palestinians during nine weeks of violence that has raged through the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian leader will also go to Sanaa, Yemen, before returning to Gaza on Sunday, officials told AFP -- GAZA CITY (AFP)
