Police have recommended that MK Abdel-Malek Dehamshe be charged following a series of conflicts with the police. The file has been sent to the State Attorney's Office, The Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday.
The MK will be charged with incitement after allegedly telling Arab demonstrators to "break the bones" of policemen trying to arrest them, the paper added.
In another incident, Israeli Arab MK, Azmi Bishara, was charged with incitement for a statement he made at a victory rally for the Hizbollah organization on June 5th at Umm al Fahm, in the Galilee.
Bishara said at the rally that "Hizbollah has won,” and for the first time since 1967 “we” have tasted the “sweet taste of victory."
Hizbollah, Bishara reportedly added, is entitled to “take pride in its achievements” - this in the wake of the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon - and to “humiliate Israel,” according to media reports.
In early November, Israel’s attorney general, Elyakim Rubinstein instructed the state prosecutor to investigate whether statements reportedly made by MK Mohammed Barakeh before Bir Zeit University students called on Arab-Israelis to participate in the current Palestinian violence against Israel.
