Another round of talks between Iran and EU

The German government on Wednesday voiced hope for a 'successful' meeting between Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani and European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana in Berlin in an effort to settle the dispute over Tehran's nuclear program.

"This meeting is part of our diplomatic efforts to find a solution. We hope it will be successful," German Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Jaeger told journalists in Berlin.  The talks are scheduled to be held outside Berlin and are to begin at 5 p.m. local time, sources close to Solana told IRNA.

Meanwhile, Jaeger told IRNA said there were no plans for a possible meeting between German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Larijani on Wednesday.
