Famous actress Anne Heche might soon star in an upcoming made-for-TV movie on America’s most legendary gossip columnist, Dorothy Kilgallen, reported FOX news online.
Kilgallen, who wrote during the golden era of tabloid gossip, vying for scoops against the likes of Walter Winchell and Ed Sullivan, died in 1965 from a lethal combination of alcohol and drugs.
But the circumstances of her death are still shrouded in some mystery.
At the time of her death, Kilgallen was investigating US President Kennedy's assassination and Marilyn Monroe's suicide and told friends that she would "blow the JFK assassination wide open."
Story notes that allegedly were for that bombshell report supposedly disappeared from the scene.
Kilgallen was found dead in her apartment, sitting fully dressed, upright in bed, according to reports.
Kilgallen's daily column for the New York Journal American was syndicated nationally.
But she became famous in the 1950s as a panelist on the game show What's My Line? and was a weekly regular for 15 years.
The Showtime movie is reportedly still in the early stages and would be based on the book Kilgallen, by Lee Israel – Albawaba.com.
