The American University of Sharjah (AUS) has implemented Amricon's patented RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology to issue 'SMART Certificates' to all its students providing them with secure certificates that can be easily attested by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research (MOHESR) in the UAE. The solution is recommended by MOHESR to standardize the format of the data collected from the universities in the UAE and at the same time protect and secure the integrity of its universities' graduation certificates.

This new SMART RFID solution is beneficial to both the university and its students. The 'SMART certificates' issued to the students include all the certificate information encoded and stored onto an RFID label attached to the certificate. This information can then be read and instantly verified and attested by the representatives and inspectors at MOHESR.

The information stored in the label can be read by the MOHESR Attestation department, helping them to confidently verify the university certificate using the SMART Document reader without the need for further communication with the University. More certificates are attested in less time using this technology, with data captured directly from the certificate into the MOHESR systems without manual input.
