The armed wing of Fatah faction said on Thursday it carried out an attack in a sandwich shop in Israel in which an Israeli teenager was killed. The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades said in a statement Tuesday's attack was "in retaliation for the daily incursions by the occupation forces against the cities, towns, villages and refugee camps".
It identified the suicide bomber in the Israeli city of Herzliya as 30-year-old Omar Zayadeh.
Zayadeh, who was married with a young daughter, worked at a grocery store in his village of Ma'adama near Nablus.
Meanwhile, Palestinian sources said Khadir al-Rajabi, 70, was killed Thursday in the Silwan neighborhood, south of the old city in Jerusalem. He died after inhaling a large amount of gas, which the Israeli police fired inside his house.
The police had stormed Al-Rajabi's house to arrest his son, Hazim Khadir al-Rajabi, who sustained moderate wounds. Two of his brothers were also arrested, Voice of Palestine reported. (Albawaba.com)
