ADC launches campaign in cooperation with JOHUD to introduce scholarships program to school students

As part of its corporate social responsibility and commitment to creating sustainable social development projects, the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) launched a campaign in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) and the Education Directorate in Aqaba to introduce secondary school students to the benefits, requirements and procedures of joining ADC’s scholarships program.

The one week campaign, which was launched on Sunday 27th of April, included question and answer sessions on the scholarships program, discussions with students concerning their academic and future career paths, in addition to providing the students with consultation and advice on the best approach to achieve their goals and turn their ambitions into a reality.

ADC previously signed a memorandum of understanding with JOHUD in late 2006 whereby ADC offers 16 scholarships to students in Aqaba who obtained high school (Tawjihi) diplomas and those who wish to pursue a higher education. ADC funds these scholarships and covers all tuition fees in addition to a JD50 monthly allowance for each student. For its part, JUHOD manages and closely monitors the scholarships, which fall under a four year program after which ADC will perform a comprehensive evaluation of the entire program.
