Associate Membership of MEPRA is an important milestone in Active PR’s growth and development as a strategic public relations consultancy in the region

Active PR and Marketing Communications Consultancy the strategic public relations and marketing communications consultancy company that covers the region, has recently joined the Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA) as an associate member.

Active PR’s induction into MEPRA, a Dubai Media City-based organization representing the interests of the PR industry, comes at a time when the Agency is witnessing strong growth in terms of client base and recognition. Created in 2002, Active PR is situated in Dubai Media City and includes among its clients Xerox, myTravelChannel.com, SITA SC, SITA INC, and Maxtor.

“MEPRA represents another important step for Active PR,” says Managing Director Sawsan Ghanem Associate Member Chartered Institute of PR, UK. “…it represents the future of the PR industry in the region – the future in terms of professional career development for entry level graduates, the future in terms of a set of professional guidelines and a future vehicle by which PR is recognized and Agencies are awarded recognition,” added Ghanem.

Welcoming Active PR on board, Sadri Barrage, Chairman of MEPRA, pointed out that the inclusion of additional members was an encouraging sign for the regional public relations industry. “The MEPRA membership illustrates the determination of agencies to be a part of an association that promotes best practice PR and encourages public relations as a profession,” he said. “MEPRA will continue to support this healthy trend by bringing the community of established agencies together in a mutually beneficial environment.”

MEPRA is a regional advocate for awareness and recognition of PR throughout the Middle East while promoting increased professionalism and unity of messages within the industry itself. MEPRA is looking forward to the inclusion of its new members as it strives to create a PR community with a similar set of values and professional standards whilst allowing companies a supportive environment to develop their strengths.strategies
