UAE Ministry of Finance organizes Annual Blood Donation Campaign

As part of its commitment to fulfill its responsibilities towards the UAE community, Ministry of Finance (MoF) organized its annual employee blood donation campaign, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank (ADBB). This annual campaign demonstrates its continued support to UAE health organizations and public affairs charities. MoF employees enthusiastically participated in large numbers in the campaign, aware of its cultural and humanitarian goals.
The five hour long blood donation campaign was held at MoF headquarters in Abu Dhabi. A team of Abu Dhabi Blood Bank specialists conducted medical examinations for those who donated blood.
“The annual blood donation campaign is one of our CSR initiatives meant to enhance the ministry’s involvement with UAE society. Through this initiative, MoF seeks to promote cooperation with local and federal authorities providing medical services for UAE citizens and residents. MoF stresses the importance of the blood donation culture among its employees,” said Saif Ali Al Khatri, Director of Government Communication Department at MoF.
Studies of Abu Dhabi Blood Bank indicate that donating 500 milliliters of blood may contribute to saving of up to three lives. It also provides the donor with many health related benefits.
