At least one Palestinian was killed on Thursday as violence along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel has escalated one again. The Israeli media reported that an anti-tank rocket was fired from the Strip toward southern Israel, hitting a bus. That strike injured the bus driver and a 16-year-old boy. Israeli officials said the boy was in critical condition.

Israel responded by attacking a house in Shujaiyeh neighborhood, to the east of Gaza. A 50-year-old Palestinian, identified as Muhammed Manasra, was killed and at least six people, including a four-year-old girl, were wounded, conveyed Palestinian medics.

A Hamas checkpoint in Shuja'iyeh was also targeted by an Israel helicopter. A Gaza police training ground was also attacked.

The third Israeli attack wounded one person east of Rafah in the south of the Palestinian territory, while a fourth shelling injured another Palestinian near the town of Kissufim, also in the south of the Strip.
