It seems that the crisis between Ankara and Tel Aviv had reached a dead end with an Israeli declaration that the Jewish state "will never apologize" for Turkey for the recent attack on a Gaza-bound aid ship, which may lead to the severance of diplomatic relations between the two sides.

An official at the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday "Israel will never apologize for defending its population. Our soldiers have the right to defend themselves when their lives are in danger." And he added: "We have the right to prevent the transfer of weapons from Iran to Gaza."

The political source said  that Turkish threat to cut ties with Israel is unacceptable. He added that "Israeli didn't send a ship loaded with saboteurs and rioters and thus Turkey should apologiz for such a step. "
