On Friday reports came out that said three members of Osama bin Laden's family were believed to have been killed in a plane crash in the UK's Blackbushe AirportOne day later, a police statement on Facebook seems to back up those claims.

The Saudi private plane crashed in the county of Hampshire about 40 miles west of London. It killed four total, including the pilot.

Hampshire police said the bodies have yet to be identified, so nothing is confirmed. But officials believe the deceased to be bin Laden's stepmother Rajaa Hashim, sister Sana bin Laden and brother-in-law Zuhair Hashim, which supports early Arabic media reports.

Here's the statement:

Tweets reported the Saudi Embassy in London confirmed the deaths of bin Laden family members.

But there are still a lot of unanswered questions. The family was reportedly en route from Italy, but there are no other details on reason for that travel.

The Guardian also said aviation experts were "baffled" by the plane crash that seemed unlikely with the light aircraft, bringing into question the connection between the pilot and the bin Laden family.

Correction: This and a previous article stated the plane was headed en route to Italy. The plane had arrived from Italy to the UK airport.
