A new video that appears to show Israeli soldiers throwing a stun grenade at a group of Palestinians has emerged online.

The clip, which was originally published by Palestinian news agency Ramallah News, has been viewed more than 120,000 times and reportedly prompted an investigation by Israeli authorities.

In the grainy security camera footage, a group of men are seen sitting together before an army-style jeep approaches them and stops for a short time. After the vehicle pulls away, the men suddenly jump up and scatter in apparent panic – before a dramatic explosion erupts a few feet away from where they were sitting.

“Witness the actions of Occupation soldiers towards four young men sitting outside their house” the original Ramallah News post asserts, adding that the incident took place in Kufr Aqf in Qalqilya, a part of the the West Bank.

Stun grenades are frequently used against protesters in the West Bank and within Israel. Used to disperse large groups and classified as non-lethal force, they can nevertheless cause shock and injury if they hit individuals.
